I’m definitely feeling too old for this. I read the books many years ago, so only have vague memories of the actual story, so it is, in a way, new to me now.
I’m watching it on BluRay and information is a little sparse, shall we say.
The Lord of The Rings ‘influences’ are most obvious, though there are all sorts of other, more recent, themes here. As this came first, it would seem The Shannara Chronicles’ influence has been greater than I remember.
I kind of grew out of the Fantasy genre and whilst I do have fond memories of these books, I’m not going to be rushing back I’m afraid.
