A Manga. Very odd reading that. Not something I’ve tried before, though never really been the comic type. They kept the – apparent – original Japanese format, which means the book is read right to left, rather than a western book’s left to right. In case you didn’t know how ‘western’ books are supposed to be read.
The story is at least very similar to the novel version I read a while back ( I couldn’t tell you if there were any real differences, as I didn’t read the two close enough togwether for any of that). But again, very different from the film Edge Of Tomorrow. That is of course due to time restraints.
The drawings are very stylised as all this sort of thing is, but are excellent within that. Never been too sure why Japanese comics need the huge eyes and the ‘too young to be out on their own’– look faces with the pointly chins and all. But there you go. Worth tracking it down though. If you’re a completist. As I am. Need to investigate what, what looks like, number 2, see what that is all about…
